    6v lamp with 9v power source will be bright that’s for sure, but how about durability??

    Bob, I would assume the plastic would hold up fairly well - but maybe not as well as metal, like on the SureFire.

    The problem you’ll face is short battery and lamp life. While you may not burn up the filament outright, you will find it to be much more unstable and fragile, as it’s getting much hotter leading to softer metal. Even still, it’s probably cheaper than getting a 100 dollar flashlight.
